BEIRUT: Two journalists working for a Lebanon-based TV channel and a 3rd particular person had been killed by a rocket strike close to Lebanon’s border with Israel on Tuesday (Nov 21), the Lebanese state information company reported.
The company stated the incident happened close to the city of Tir Harfa, a few mile from the Israeli frontier.
Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen TV, which the 2 killed reporters had been working for, stated Israel had carried out the assault and intentionally focused the journalists.
Israel’s navy didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Combating between Israel and Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah broke out after Hezbollah’s Palestinian ally Hamas launched an assault on Israel on Oct 7.
The border violence has escalated, elevating Western fears of a widening struggle within the Center East that would attract each the USA and Iran.
It’s the worst violence on the border since Israel and Hezbollah fought a struggle in 2006 and has to date killed greater than 70 Hezbollah fighters, 13 Lebanese civilians, seven Israeli troops and three Israeli civilians.
