The Senate voted unanimously to revive the costume code for males Wednesday night in a humiliating rebuke to Senate Majority Chief Chuck Schumer (D-NY) who unilaterally dropped the unwritten however conventional costume code to accommodate the arrested growth obsession of Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) to decorate like a teenage pothead.
The decision was launched by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and co-sponsored by Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), and features a provision mandating a two-thirds vote to make any modifications–a slap at Schumer. The costume code will probably be enforced by the Senate Sergeant at Arms.
The blowback in opposition to Schumer and Fetterman reducing the requirements of the Senate was such that Schumer introduced the decision to the ground and each voted for the decision.

Earlier Wednesday Fetterman told a Democrat caucus meeting he would begin sporting a go well with on the Senate ground. The decision solely covers the Senate ground, leaving Fetterman free to put on his shorts and hoodies to committee hearings and all senators to proceed their pratice of voting from the doorway of the cloak room when casually dressed.

RESOLUTION
Clarifying the costume code for the ground of the Senate.
1 Resolved,
2 SECTION 1. SENATE FLOOR DRESS CODE.
3 (a) DEFINITIONS.—On this part—
4 (1) the time period ‘‘Senate ground costume code’’ means
5 a requirement that enterprise apparel be worn on the
6 ground of the Senate, which for males shall embody a
7 coat, tie, and slacks or different lengthy pants; and
8 (2) the time period ‘‘Sergeant at Arms’’ means the
9 Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate.
10 (b) SENATE FLOOR DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS.—
1 (1) IN GENERAL.—A person on the ground of
2 the Senate shall abide by the Senate ground costume
3 code.
4 (2) ENFORCEMENT.—The Sergeant at Arms
5 shall implement the requirement of paragraph (1).
6 (c) PROCESS TO REVISE THE SENATE FLOOR DRESS
7 CODE.—Any change to the Senate ground costume code, or the
8 enforcement of the Senate ground costume code, that’s made
9 on or after the date of adoption of this decision shall
10 don’t have any power or impact until such change is made pursu
11 ant to a decision agreed to by not lower than two-thirds
12 of the Members of the Senate, duly chosen and sworn.
